French for a Day
Everyone's going to be out celebrating July 4th, but once it's over and you've got the post-Independence Day blues, we've got a cure: Bastille Day in New York City. On July 14th, the city celebrates French culture with a massive street fair where visitors can indulge in French delicacies like crêpes, éclairs, macarons, and more at booths along 60th Street, as well as savor a great selection of wines, cheeses, beers, and cocktails at tastings. Located about twenty minutes from our SoHo hotel, there will also be performances by Can-Can dancers, the Chorale Arpège from Martinique, the Franco-American electro/pop/swing band Ginkgoa, and more. There are even drawings for prizes like a trip to Paris, Bordeaux or New Orleans. And this still doesn't cover all the other shows, activities and excitement that'll be going on. So enjoy the festivities and vive la France!
