Fans of Film
Film festivals don't get much more glamorous than New York City's Tribeca Film Festival, which was founded by Robert De Niro and friends in 2001 to spark economic and cultural revitalization after 9/11. Now in its 14th year, this annual celebration of film, music and culture immediately united anyone with a soft spot for storytelling and they continue to gather here, year after year, to experience the power of film. This highly regarded international festival is diverse and dynamic, embracing both emerging and established directors. This year, this highly anticipated New York City festival kicks off on April 15 and is expected to draw more than 400,000 film fans to view 1,000+ films, including opening night's entirely apt choice: the world premiere of "Live From New York!" – the Saturday Night Live documentary that coincides with the show's 40th anniversary. The festival runs through April 26.
