Spooky Shopping in Soho
What would a trip to New York City in the month of October be without seeing a few skeletons? Soho's Evolution Store will get you in the Halloween spirit with a spine-tingling shopping experience. The store is easy to spot, with its dark, creepy exterior and true-to-life skeleton greeting you at the front door. Here you'll find everything you need to add a Halloween touch to your home. If it's a replica skeleton you're after, this is your place. The store offers an assortment of human bones and anatomical models, as well as animal bones, fossils and eggs. It even has its own entomology department, where you can custom order insects in museum-quality display cases (if you're so inclined). For those a bit more main stream, the Evolution Store has an offbeat assortment of jewelry, minerals and artifacts. And, if you happen to be in the 'hood on Oct. 23, artist and author Noah Scalin (of the newly published Skull-A-Day) will be signing his book at the Evolution Store at 4pm.
